Women’s Basketball Finally Beats Delaware

For the first time in 19 meetings, the women’s basketball team has finally defeated Delaware.
The Drexel women’s basketball team won its seventh straight game after narrowly defeating Delaware 66-62 at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The winning streak makes it all the more impressive, considering that the team started off 1-7. Nevertheless, the ladies have definitely turned things around.

Delaware (2-12, 1-1 CAA) was trying to win just its third game of the year and made it pretty difficult for Drexel, especially since the Dragons had only five scorers.

In the end, it was free throws that made the difference for Drexel.

Narissa Suber led Drexel with 24 points on 11-11 shooting from the charity stripe and six rebounds. Gabriela Marginean led the Dragons with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 6-of-7 shooting from the line.

Drexel also shot 8-for-15 from the 3-point line.

Nine players played in the game, but only five recorded points.
