Tool Library opens in West Philly

Posted by Jordan Osecki on 08 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: The Drexel Beat

Students living in off-campus apartments now have a cheap option if they want to do some home improvement jobs. If you didn’t pack a saw and hammer when you were last home, you now can go to the West Philly Tool Library on 4620 Woodlawn Avenue, which is open every Saturday.

Here you can borrow any kind of tools from construction aids to gardening equipment and if they don’t have what you are looking for, they will purchase it. It is a non-profit organization and costs only $20 a year to be a part of it and borrow tools. Much cheaper than trying to buy or rent the tools, especially power tools.

For more information, you can check out their website, WestPhillyTools.org.
