You’ve seen the posters and flyers all around the city for the past few months now, but POPPED! is finally coming this weekend, June 20-22 to The Trocadero, World Café Live and none other than Drexel University. In its second year, POPPED! focuses on displaying local talent, as well as emerging artists, and with this year’s incredible line-up, it will surely do that and then some! Aside from presenting entertaining musical acts, POPPED! will be going “green” to encourage attendees to recycle and stress the impact of living sustainably to improve our environment

The three-day festival kicks off in Chinatown at The Trocadero (1003 Arch St.) June 20 at 8 p.m. Get your dance on with the White T’s & White Belts DJs, Steven Bloodbath and a special performance by Slick Rick.

Day two is filled with all of the headliners, and what better venue to showcase these artists than Drexel? Staring at noon, artists like the ever-popular Vampire Weekend, husband-wife duo Mates of State and gypsy-punks Gogol Bordello will take the stage at 33rd and Market streets. Make sure to check out the uber-blogged about Crystal Castles, Brooklyn’s Dan Deacon, and MAD Dragon’s own Hoots & Hellmouth.
