Presidential Search Commences

Posted by Jamie Thomson on 31 Jul 2009 | Tagged as: The Drexel Beat

The search for Drexel’s next president has officially begun, according to an e-mail to the Drexel community sent July 31 by Richard A. Greenawalt, chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee.

National executive search firm Witt/Kieffer has been engaged to facilitate the process. According to their website, they are “the nation’s largest and most experienced search firm that specializes in the education and not-for-profit sectors.”

Further details about the search process can be found at the University’s dedicated presidential search website. The current timeline indicates the new president will be selected and announced by April 2010.

In case you’ve been living under a rock or away from campus and haven’t heard, a film thus far known only as the “Untitled James L. Brooks Project” is being shot in part in the Armory. Information is scarce, but A-list celebrities Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, and Paul Rudd have all been spotted around campus, and Jack Nicholson recently attended a Phillies game while in town for the film.

Play a game of tennis with Owen? Shoot the breeze with Reese? Think you’re going to show up on camera? We want to share YOUR stories from this exciting time on campus.

Send anecdotes, photos, or video to STARWATCH@THETRIANGLE.ORG.*
