Mayor Nutter and the city has announced that there will be concerts held at city recreation centers throughout July and August on Thursdays as well as movies shown at City Hall, according to an article on Philly.com.

The series will conclude with an “Old School Jam Session” on Sept. 1 featuring the Sugarhill Gang. The concerts will replace the shows held at the Robin Hood Dell East venue.

The following four movies will be screened in the City Hall courtyard this summer as well:

  • “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” on July 11
  • “Italian Job” on July 25
  • “Unbreakable” on August 15
  • “Invincible” on August 29
