The company that provides security patrol officers to Drexel University has been bought by Blackstone Group, according to a press release.

The change in ownership will not have any impact on Drexel’s security operations according to Domenic Ceccanecchio, senior associate vice president for Public Safety at Drexel.

“We expect, as always, that Allied will provide the highest level of professional security, responsiveness and value added services to the University,”  Ceccanecchio said in an email.

“The transaction is expected to close in August subject to certain government approvals and other customary conditions,” said a statement from AlliedBarton Security Services.
