Immediately following the Phillies win for the World Series title, Septa buses and other vehicles around City Hall began sounding their horns for the Fightins’. Soon after, fans poured out onto Broad St. just south of City Hall. Pandemonium ensued as the city celebrated a long awaited win. Ladder 5 of the Philadelphia Fire Dept. was engulfed by fans as it returned to it’s station. The firefighters allowed fans to ride on the top of the truck for the ride down Broad St. Even though there was pushing and shoving in the crowd, many fans still showed their brotherly love towards fellow fans. There were children, pets, and elderly fans in the crowd. This was a celebration the City of Philadelphia will not soon forget.
