The Automotive Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) will be holding the 2009 Philadelphia Auto Show in the Philadelphia Convention Center from January 31-February 8. More than 40 manufacturers are participating this year.
This year, like every other year, there are many exotic, vintage, domestic, import, and specialty cars on display. The thing that makes this years Auto Show unique is that the automotive industry is changing rapidly. With a bad economy and high fuel prices, more fuel efficient and affordable cars are in demand. This years auto show showcases redesigned models, new fuel technologies and alternative fuels.
There is another reason to attend the 2009 Philly Auto Show. According to the Brownstein Group, over the last two decades, ADAGP has donated over $3.8 million to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia by donating one dollar for every ticket sold at the Auto Show.
Celebrity appearances will be made by Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino, Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, Former Eagles All-pro defensive end Hugh Douglas, and 76ers shooting guard Andre Igudala.
